The Wren Masters are a quartet playing renaissance and baroque music on period instruments.  Hailed by The Washington Post for their “crisp ensemble, mellowness and admirable stylistic awareness,” the four members are performing artist faculty of the College of William and Mary, playing harpsichord, baroque violin, viola de gamba/baroque cello and recorder.  www.sites.google.com/site/wrenmasters

Featuring founding Nitty Gritty Dirt Band member Les Thompson, Andrew McKnight & Beyond Borders delight audiences with exquisite vocal harmonies, top-shelf songwriting and a genuine warmth. Sung by the world-class Herndon Foundation Emerging Artists, this is an afternoon of arias and Broadway melodies from the world’s greatest composers.  Each season, the Virginia Opera has treated the audience to an engaging program with selections from such classics as Carmen, La Traviata, Pirates of Penzance, West Side Story, Camelot, and Sweeney Todd. www.vaopera.org

The Rainier Trio is an exciting, energetic group that captivates audiences. With gems from the violin-viola-piano repertoire, it’s an instrumental combination written for since the 17th century.
